Redundancy pay calculator
Work out the statutory redundancy pay you are entitled to, based on your age, length of service and weekly pay.
The legal minimum. Your contract may give more. The first £30,000 of redundancy pay is tax-free; notice pay and holiday pay are taxed as normal.
How statutory redundancy pay works
You need at least two years of continuous service. For each complete year you get half a week’s pay for years when you were under 22, one week’s pay for years aged 22 to 40, and one and a half weeks’ pay for years aged 41 or over.
Only the last 20 years count, and weekly pay is capped at £751 (£783 in Northern Ireland) for redundancies from 6 April 2026, so the maximum is £22,530.
